Hi, my name is Tatum and I have found my forever home! My new mom and dad are some very lucky people (and I might be a very lucky Schnauzer)! I was shy when I first got here, but now my new family is meeting the real me - I am even singing to them. I love to go on walks - in the morning with my dad and in the evenings with my mom. Car rides are especially fun and not to mention getting to entertain my new brother and grandparents. And you never know - the treat jar is on the counter and if I look really sad I might get one. My job is to protect the house and be a good watchdog.
Thank you Schnauzer Rescue for making us a family and bringing joy into our lives!

Lexi & Charlie
Lexi was my first adoption from MSRH in August of 2010. She is such a little princess and I now think I should have named her "Velcro"! She is the perfect lap dog and gets along well with the myriad of other rescues that allow me to care for them. I began volunteering shortly thereafter and a few months ago, I became Charlie's Foster Mom. Although he may never make the perfect pet for another family, we love him and will allow him to stay forever. He has bonded so to my husband that they would both grieve terribly if separated.
I know that this organization, myself included, do everything within our power to save every little Schnauzer we can. If they find a way here, they will find their way home, forever.

Nate Doggie
I lost my white schnauzer of 10 years on Thanksgiving 2011. I just couldn't talk about him, I was lost without him, so by accident I ended-up looking at the MSRH site. This was just to comfort m,y soul. I found out i could foster first before adoption so I would know me and the dog would get along. Long story short-Nate is the best thing in my life. He is just goofy and makes me laugh all the time. He loves going to the dog park and is fast like a greyhound. He pretends he doesn't know me when I call his name while we are there-unless he needs a drink of water! He is so smart and knows the name of all his toys and knows family members names as well. I can't say enough about him and how he has brought so much joy to me and many others. Thank you MSRH!

Mitzi (Previously Micky)
Mitzi has been a wonderful addition to our family. We absolutely adore her! She loves to cuddle and get attention. She really is the perfect dog for us. I can't say enough for the volunteers at MSRH! They do great work!!! Thanks!

Skipper
I'm sorry I've not written sooner to say that Skipper pka Steffen is healthy and happy in his new forever home. Every day with him is a blessing and a surprise. Skipper is so smart and energetic; he really keeps us on our toes with endless rounds of fetch. He is good on the leash and proved to be quite the gentleman at his new vet's office. I made comment to Cameron a few days ago that I could not believe Skipper's original owners would simply let him go as he is such a wonderful, loving pup. Skipper has also made many new human and dog friends in the neighborhood and has quite the following on facebook! I could go on forever praising this little dog; but since we are all in love with miniature schnauzers, we all understand that too many words are not necessary. Skipper is perfect and a credit to the breed. Thank you so very much for saving our little darling until he could find his forever home.

Evan and Erin (previously Pearl)
Tom and I adopted Evan in April of 2010 and Erin (previously Pearl) in May of 2012. We love them both so much and can't imagine our lives without them. Tom and I really try to schedule everything we do around our precious kids. We are sad when we are away from them, and it is the best feeling to come home to pets we love so much. We also have an adopted, rescue cat named Alex. He has been with us for over eight years. Erin is still chasing and barking at Alex a bit, but it is all in good fun. Our family is so blessed. Thank you Miniature Schnauzer Rescue of Houston for saving our dogs so that they could become apart of our family.

More pics of Heidi (Previously Mai Ling)
More pics of Heidi with her brother, Copper, and her daddy, Rick. Sorry, but I feel like a proud new mom with all this picture taking of Heidi. She is just so precious to us and so smart!
